We had the feast of 12 items. It was excellent. I will be back. *Chef's kiss
I thought that the food tasted bland, like store bought stuff, and I felt a little queasy afterward.
This is a gem in Silver Springs. I tried the chicken shawarma 🥙 and the rice bowl. I must say this is the best Lebanese food I have had since leaving the middle east. If you like shawarma this should be the spot you want to hit up. The meat is marinated well. The talisman to any shawarma, the garlic sauce, is the most authentic and available en masse at no extra charge.
Good, quick Lebanese food.
Stopped here before going to the Fillmore for a concert. The food is amazing, nice size serving. Great customer service. Restroom clean. Cozy atmosphere.
Not as good as fancy Lebanese Taverna chain but worked out well for our large family gathering as they were not crowded on a Tuesday night.
Convenient, high-quality, flavorful
Great vegan dishes!
Classic and reliable
Great spot. I recommend trying Anna's Platter. Their falafel is great too.
Sandwiches are nice they could be a little friendlier but other than that go and enjoy
We had a wonderful time at lebtav today. 6 ladies to celebrate a baby coming. Marcel the manager and staff were awesome. they did 2 beautiful platters and were extremely helpful in making suggestions on what would feed us all. Food was delicious and more than enough. Will definitely be back.
Enjoyed the food, came promptly and wasn't expensive.
The new staff is incompetent. I asked the cashier if they sold salmon and she reponds "lamb?". Then, I inquire about the salmon platter that was sold when the store was in its previous location and she saids we don't sell it any more while it is clearly listed on the new locations menu. Lastly, I while visiting the new location I ordered a salad and told the cashier I had a dairy allergy. She said the salad and dressing came with feta cheese so she would omit the feta and put the dressing on the side. However after arriving at home and opening my salad-it was tossed in the dressing and topped with feta. It literally seems like the cashier and cook just do and prepare whatever they want and disregard the paying customers request. This was a huge disappointment and waster of time. Need the old staff, location, and business back asap!!!
Will have to say less than average. The shawarma was very dry, the Samosa burnet. From the many dishes we ordered the lamb shank and the bread were the only ones that were nice. It is small portions for high price, had much better Lebanese food than this.
The chicken shawarma is so dry you have to slather it with garlic sauce.
The original Lebanese Taverna has made a few changes! Now you can get in and out quickly for Middle Eastern eats! Try their Hummus bar where you can get a taste of multiple condiments. Kia's platter is still available, but gone are the Kabobs.
always listed and unavailable on Uber eats
Food is always delicious
I do not know about the old menu but the new one is really good. Everything is fresh and tasty. The service is OK but the native employees could be friendlier.
Scaled down version of a good place to eat
The cleanliness was impressive. Besides a so tasty food. Bit expensive, but definitely worth the price.
The restaurant has a very nice ambience, and the food served is very good. The vegetarian options are also good. Nice place to chill out.
We met with friends at this place for a meeting. This spot was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was a winning. The crew welcomed us with a smile and we had a great feeling. The meal was delicious. We loved this restaurant a lot and we shall definitely come back again. We recommend this place to all.
Hands down one of the great restaurants on the downtown "strip." Try the Mezza Feast for 2 if you want to sample a little of everything. The food is very delicious.
Delicious and genuine Lebanese cooking. Prepared quite quickly and very fresh. Good atmosphere and well worth the price.
Good simple Lebanese food. They have delivery within 1/2 mile. Good service.
Popped in yesterday to get an order of hummus with lamb to go. Excellent and friendly service, clean restaurant, and fantastic hummus and bread. Can’t wait to go back!
Nice location. Tasty, affordable food. Bonus: it's right in the middle of Downtown Silver Spring.
Always a pleasure to eat there. Great price fast sercices.
I placed a simple order and 35 minutes later I was still waiting for my food. The staff seemed overwhelmed, and unable to fulfill most orders because they had run out of bread. I cancelled my order and received a refund. Will not return.
This evening I ordered 2 platters for take out and after waiting for 25 min and watching them serve other people who arrived after us we finally asked about it order. They have is our order which was just sitting there and we left. We didn't check the order (which is on me) and after getting home realized they messed up both platters and didn't give me what I ordered. This used to be a great spot in it's old location but it's a total mess now.
Best hummus in DMV area! I have been a customer for many years and love LT's hummus, lebneh and falafel. Recently I had a small concern, however Ms. Shea graciously addressed it. Great service and food. A must try!
Place place !! Great food, great cooks and staff
So sorry that you changed your menu and dropped kabobs and a few others. Lebanese Tav was one of our favorite restaurants in Silver Spring to get a decent. reasonable, and tasty dinner.. We've really tried to enjoy your new changes but it isn't that great to us...
Authentic Mediterranean restaurant Soup is delicious. Lamb soup too. Felafel was great though salad needs more greens. Arabic tea available. Great location on Ellsworth Street in Silver Spring MD. Comfortable atmosphere. Kids are welcomeMy go-to eating place when in the area.
I always order salmon harra and spinach lentil soup. They are really amazing. Plus they give tasty breads. Highly recommended.
quick and convenient but a little pricey. salad is always fresh and portion sizes are pretty good. no real view but you are in downtown. great for a quick work lunch. doesn't get crowded
The old location seemed more homely and quaint
Quite authentic and quick route for a nice lunch
Thanks for re-frying the falafel..
IT'S A GREAT PLACE TO HAVE BOTH LIGHT LUNCH AND DINNER FOR YOUR SOUL. THE FOOD IS GOOD AND THE PRICES ARE REASONABLE.
Great lebanese fast food, best so far in DC
It was really good, had to look for the menus at first (up by the register) but the food was excellent!
New to area, helpful, good food
called and was placed on hold for 15 min. Finally got through and placed an order for pickup. the person on the line didn’t take my name, give me the amount, or tell me when my order would be ready. Arrive and they tell me they don’t have my order and the guy who took it on the phone just left it on the counter without telling anyone. they re-do my order, tell me 10 minutes, 20 minutes later still no food, apology, or discount.
I *love* Lebanese food. This place kind of confuses me. Like, it's not particularly Lebanese? Hummus was disappointing, though the bread was fresh and good. No shaksuka on the menu? Also, adding tomato to my hummus cost me $1 for three small slices of a pretty sad tomato.
Since the move they've dropped some of my favorite menu items, like the roast chicken with potatoes and the lamb with pita chips and yogurt sauce. What they do still have is good, and the freely available garlic sauce is a plus, but I miss that chicken!
Leb cuisine is the best
Excellent staff and delicious food
